DENVER -- The family of 22-year-old Kelsie Schelling, who went missing three months ago, says she was pregnant at the time of her disappearance.

Kelsie Schelling, 22, missing
According to her family at a press conference Monday morning, Kelsie was 8 weeks pregnant when she went missing.

It was on Feb. 4 when Kelsie’s family said she went to a physician. The physicians confirmed her pregnancy. According to Kelsie’s mother, her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas, is believed to be the father.
Kelsie, from Denver, has been missing since that day, her family said.

The Pueblo Police Department said at a press conference last month that Schelling drove to Pueblo to meet an acquaintance at Walmart before disappearing.

At the March press conference, police said the case is being investigated as a missing person. They would not share if foul play is suspected.

Kelsie’s car, a 2011 black Chevrolet Cruze, was seen on surveillance video being picked up on Feb. 6 by an unknown family. The vehicle was later found at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital. Surveillance footage showed the car had been parked there since Feb. 7.

As for Kelsie’s phone records, they showed that he was in Pueblo until at least Feb. 7. That’s when police said the cell phone battery died. It has not been turned on since then.

Specialized canines conducted a search as part of the missing person investigation, according to Pueblo Police.

The canines searched various areas of Pueblo during the investigation. Pueblo police said the search will continue as needed and additional information comes in.

Any information on this case can be reported to police or to Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP.

Kelsie Jean Schelling's family says missing woman may have been pregnant

Kelsie Jean Schelling, 22, Missing

DENVER - The family of a woman who disappeared in February says they are now worried that Kelsie Jean Schelling was pregnant when she disappeared.

"Whatever happened to her that night, also involved her unborn child," said Kelsie's mother Laura Saxton. "My first grandchild as well. We are doing everything in our power to find our missing loved one."

Schelling, 22, left Denver and went to Pueblo on the night of Feb. 4 to meet her boyfriend.

Police said according to cell phone records, Schelling made it to Pueblo. Video surveillance from Walmart shows Schelling’s vehicle parked in front of the store on Feb. 5 around 12:05 p.m. The car was left there overnight.

Police said the video showed an unidentified man getting into the car on Feb. 6 at 7:20 a.m. and driving off.

That video won't be released to the public, police said. It is sealed as part of the investigation.

The car was found February 14 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital. Surveillance video showed that the vehicle was parked there about 24 hours after it was picked up at Walmart.

Schelling's family said after Kelsie disappeared her credit card was used once -- they say by her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas.

Lucas was arrested on charges of identity theft. The case is sealed, but police said Lucas posted bond and was released from jail.

Schelling's family suspect Lucas is the father of the child.

Schelling turned 22 just after she disappeared. She's 5 foot 4 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has three tattoos -- a Chinese symbol on the back of her neck, cursive writing on the inside of her left arm and a fleur-de-lis on her right rib cage.

Colorado issues statewide alert for missing 21-year-old girl last seen more than 100 miles away from home

Gone: Kelsie Schelling, 21, went missing on February 4 after being last seen in Pueblo, Colorado
A statewide alert has been issued Tuesday for a missing 21-year-old Denver student who was last seen a week ago more than 100 miles away from home.

Kelsie Jean Schelling lives in Larimer Square in Denver, but according to police, the 21-year-old was last spotted in Pueblo, Colorado, on February 4.

Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson called Schelling's disappearance 'out of character,' but added that police do not suspect foul play at this point.

According to investigators, Schelling's car also has gone missing, and they believe that locating the vehicle would bring them closer to finding the student, Fox 31 reported.

Officials are now searching for the black 2011 Chevy Cruze LTZ with the license plate 023-WRL.

Schelling, who will turn 22 next week, is described as being 5 foot 4 inches and weighing about 120lbs with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police say the woman has a trio of tattoos on her body, including a fleur-de-lis on her rib cage, a Chinese symbol on her neck and a cursive scrawl on her left arm.

Schelling's parents launched a Facebook page called Help Find Kelsie to spread the word about their missing daughter.
Concerns: Police say they do not believe foul play played a role in Schelling's disappearance, but some friends on Facebook mentioned that she and her boyfriend have been having problems
Ride: Police are also searching for Schelling car, a 2011 Chevy Cruze LTZ with the license plate number 023-WRL
Several commenters wrote that Schelling and her boyfriend, a man identified as Dante, have had a rocky relationship lately.

'She always complained about them fighting,' wrote friend Micah Brandon Gagnon. 'She also told me she had to buy a new phone because he broke her old one...'

However, another friend Mellisa Houghtelling said that the 21-year-old's boyfriend told her that he is just as worried as the rest of her loved ones about Schelling.

Houghtelling added that Dante has been communicating with Schelling's family and police about her disappearance.

Senior master at world-renowned public school is arrested for alleged sexual assault

April 19, 2013 | by

A senior master at one of Britain’s most famous public schools has been arrested on suspicion of raping a teenage former girl pupil.

Dr Dean Johnson, 48, who is married with children, has now quit his post as physics teacher at elite Charterhouse School in Surrey.

In a letter to parents, the £31,680-a-year school said Dr Johnson has left amid allegations of an “inappropriate relationship” with an ex sixth-former.

The letter sent to parents of children at Charterhouse School informing them about a teacher who allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a pupil

She is thought to be aged around 18 and no longer a pupil at Charterhouse, which is based at Godalming in Surrey.

Dr Johnson, who was a Physics master at the school for 12 years, was detained in Godalming by police on April 12.

He lived in a £500,000 house in the town which was owned and supplied by the school, whose famous former pupils include broadcasters David and Jonathan Dimbleby.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: “A 48-year-old man is currently on conditional bail in relation to an allegation of a serious sexual offence at an address in Godalming.

“He is due to report back to Guildford Police Station on 16 July 2013.”

A police source confirmed that the ‘serious sexual offence allegation’ was rape.

A Charterhouse spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a teacher has resigned from the school following serious concerns regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

“It would be improper to say anything further.”

Parents say they were told this week that Dr Johnson has resigned because of ‘an inappropriate relationship’.

But the letter from Headmaster The Reverend John Witheridge makes no mention of his arrest.

It reads: “I write to inform you that Dr. Dean Johnson (Physics) has resigned after the school was made aware of serious concerns about the existence of an inappropriate relationship with a former sixth-form girl.

Charterhouse School in Surrey where a senior master allegedly raped a teenage former pupil

“I am sure you will understand that I am unable to go into any further detail.

“Arrangements are being made to cover Dean’s teaching and other duties.

“If you have any concerns, do please let me know, and I will do my best to answer them if I can.”

Dr. Johnson appears to have advertised himself as a private tutor, charging between £25 and £40 an hour for lessons in Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics to GCSE, A-level and university standard.

On the ‘A+ Tutors’ website for the Surrey area an entry in his name says: “Physics Master at Charterhouse school for 12 years, Oxford and Cambridge graduate in Astrophysics.

“I am one of the best Physics tutors you will ever get!”

Charterhouse describes itself as ‘one of the leading independent schools in the world’  and has over 400 years of history.

It is predominantly a boarding school with around 800 pupils, taking boys from 13 and girls in the Sixth Form.

Other famous ex-pupils include shamed pop impressario Jonathan King, rock star Peter Gabriel and journalist and historian Sir Max Hastings.

A teacher at one of Britain’s top public schools has been arrested on suspicion of raping a former pupil.

Dr Dean Johnson, a physics master at Charterhouse in Surrey, has been forced to leave the £31,680-a-year boarding school following the alleged incident.

The divorced father-of-three,  who was educated at Oxford and Cambridge, was held by police on April 12.

The letter sent to parents of children at Charterhouse School informing them about a teacher who had an inappropriate relationship with a former pupil
He has taught at the prestigious school for 12 years and was well-liked among students and teachers.
The victim is understood to be a graduate in her 20s, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

According to two former pupils who knew her, Dr Johnson and the girl had been involved in a secret relationship since her first year of sixth form – when she was 16.

One of them, who didn’t wish to be identified, said: ‘She was quite quiet and was involved in societies he ran.’
Dr Johnson, 48, who specialises in astronomy and astrophysics, lived in a £500,000 house owned by the Godalming school. He also advertised his services as a private tutor outside of school hours.

The master – who was known to staff and pupils as ‘Deano’ – would regularly stay after school hours with pupils from his school-house until 10pm, helping them with homework and after-school activities.

His alleged victim was one of the pupils he would supervise.

A letter from the headmaster of the school, Reverend John Witheridge, was sent to parents last weekend.

The teacher has since resigned from his post at the exclusive Charterhouse School in Godalming

It read: ‘I write to inform you that Dr Dean Johnson (Physics) has resigned after the school was made aware of serious concerns about the existence of an inappropriate relationship with a former sixth-form girl.

‘I am sure you will understand that I am unable to go into any further detail.’ It continues: ‘If you have concerns, do please let me know, and I will do my best to answer them if I can.’

A school spokesman said it would be ‘improper’ to give any further comment.

A police spokesman said: ‘A  48-year-old man is currently on conditional bail in relation to  an allegation of a serious  sexual offence at an address in Godalming. He is due to  report back to Guildford Police Station on July 16, 2013.’

Charterhouse, whose motto is ‘Because God has given I give’, counts  broadcaster David Dimbleby,  Genesis founder members Peter Gabriel and Mike Rutherford,  and Robert Baden-Powell among its alumni.

In March last year, the school was at the centre of a police inquiry after a boy was arrested on suspicion of filming naked pupils.

The 16-year-old was said to have captured ‘indecent images’ in a video which was allegedly stored on his computer.

In 2010, Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker criticised the school for failing to get his son George a place at his chosen university.

Charterhouse was originally built over 68 acres where 120 boys were taught in three boarding houses.

Today it spreads over 200 acres, has 795 pupils and girls are allowed in the sixth form.

Dr Dean Johnson, 48, who is married with children, has now left his post as physics teacher at Charterhouse School in Surrey.

In a letter to parents, the £31,680-a-year school said Dr Johnson has left amid allegations of an "inappropriate relationship" with an ex sixth-former.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "A 48-year-old man is currently on conditional bail in relation to an allegation of a serious sexual offence at an address in Godalming.

"He is due to report back to Guildford Police Station on 16 July 2013."

A police source confirmed that the "serious sexual offence allegation" was rape.

A Charterhouse spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that a teacher has resigned from the school following serious concerns regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

"It would be improper to say anything further."

Parents say they were told this week that Dr Johnson has resigned because of "an inappropriate relationship". The letter from headmaster Rev John Witheridge makes no references to the arrest.

It reads: "I write to inform you that Dr. Dean Johnson (Physics) has resigned after the school was made aware of serious concerns about the existence of an inappropriate relationship with a former sixth-form girl.

"I am sure you will understand that I am unable to go into any further detail.

"Arrangements are being made to cover Dean's teaching and other duties.

"If you have any concerns, do please let me know, and I will do my best to answer them if I can."

Dr Johnson appears to have advertised himself as a private tutor, charging between £25 and £40 an hour for lessons in Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics to GCSE, A-level and university standard.

On the 'A+ Tutors' website for the Surrey area an entry in his name says: "Physics Master at Charterhouse school for 12 years, Oxford and Cambridge graduate in Astrophysics.

Charterhouse is 400 years old and is recognised as one of the most successful schools in Britain. It is predominantly a boarding school with around 800 pupils, taking boys from 13 and girls in the Sixth Form.
