DENVER -- The family of 22-year-old Kelsie Schelling, who went missing three months ago, says she was pregnant at the time of her disappearance.

Kelsie Schelling, 22, missing
According to her family at a press conference Monday morning, Kelsie was 8 weeks pregnant when she went missing.

It was on Feb. 4 when Kelsie’s family said she went to a physician. The physicians confirmed her pregnancy. According to Kelsie’s mother, her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas, is believed to be the father.
Kelsie, from Denver, has been missing since that day, her family said.

The Pueblo Police Department said at a press conference last month that Schelling drove to Pueblo to meet an acquaintance at Walmart before disappearing.

At the March press conference, police said the case is being investigated as a missing person. They would not share if foul play is suspected.

Kelsie’s car, a 2011 black Chevrolet Cruze, was seen on surveillance video being picked up on Feb. 6 by an unknown family. The vehicle was later found at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital. Surveillance footage showed the car had been parked there since Feb. 7.

As for Kelsie’s phone records, they showed that he was in Pueblo until at least Feb. 7. That’s when police said the cell phone battery died. It has not been turned on since then.

Specialized canines conducted a search as part of the missing person investigation, according to Pueblo Police.

The canines searched various areas of Pueblo during the investigation. Pueblo police said the search will continue as needed and additional information comes in.

Any information on this case can be reported to police or to Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP.

Kelsie Jean Schelling's family says missing woman may have been pregnant

Kelsie Jean Schelling, 22, Missing

DENVER - The family of a woman who disappeared in February says they are now worried that Kelsie Jean Schelling was pregnant when she disappeared.

"Whatever happened to her that night, also involved her unborn child," said Kelsie's mother Laura Saxton. "My first grandchild as well. We are doing everything in our power to find our missing loved one."

Schelling, 22, left Denver and went to Pueblo on the night of Feb. 4 to meet her boyfriend.

Police said according to cell phone records, Schelling made it to Pueblo. Video surveillance from Walmart shows Schelling’s vehicle parked in front of the store on Feb. 5 around 12:05 p.m. The car was left there overnight.

Police said the video showed an unidentified man getting into the car on Feb. 6 at 7:20 a.m. and driving off.

That video won't be released to the public, police said. It is sealed as part of the investigation.

The car was found February 14 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital. Surveillance video showed that the vehicle was parked there about 24 hours after it was picked up at Walmart.

Schelling's family said after Kelsie disappeared her credit card was used once -- they say by her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas.

Lucas was arrested on charges of identity theft. The case is sealed, but police said Lucas posted bond and was released from jail.

Schelling's family suspect Lucas is the father of the child.

Schelling turned 22 just after she disappeared. She's 5 foot 4 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has three tattoos -- a Chinese symbol on the back of her neck, cursive writing on the inside of her left arm and a fleur-de-lis on her right rib cage.

Colorado issues statewide alert for missing 21-year-old girl last seen more than 100 miles away from home

Gone: Kelsie Schelling, 21, went missing on February 4 after being last seen in Pueblo, Colorado
A statewide alert has been issued Tuesday for a missing 21-year-old Denver student who was last seen a week ago more than 100 miles away from home.

Kelsie Jean Schelling lives in Larimer Square in Denver, but according to police, the 21-year-old was last spotted in Pueblo, Colorado, on February 4.

Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson called Schelling's disappearance 'out of character,' but added that police do not suspect foul play at this point.

According to investigators, Schelling's car also has gone missing, and they believe that locating the vehicle would bring them closer to finding the student, Fox 31 reported.

Officials are now searching for the black 2011 Chevy Cruze LTZ with the license plate 023-WRL.

Schelling, who will turn 22 next week, is described as being 5 foot 4 inches and weighing about 120lbs with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police say the woman has a trio of tattoos on her body, including a fleur-de-lis on her rib cage, a Chinese symbol on her neck and a cursive scrawl on her left arm.

Schelling's parents launched a Facebook page called Help Find Kelsie to spread the word about their missing daughter.
Concerns: Police say they do not believe foul play played a role in Schelling's disappearance, but some friends on Facebook mentioned that she and her boyfriend have been having problems
Ride: Police are also searching for Schelling car, a 2011 Chevy Cruze LTZ with the license plate number 023-WRL
Several commenters wrote that Schelling and her boyfriend, a man identified as Dante, have had a rocky relationship lately.

'She always complained about them fighting,' wrote friend Micah Brandon Gagnon. 'She also told me she had to buy a new phone because he broke her old one...'

However, another friend Mellisa Houghtelling said that the 21-year-old's boyfriend told her that he is just as worried as the rest of her loved ones about Schelling.

Houghtelling added that Dante has been communicating with Schelling's family and police about her disappearance.
